This is an article about the town of Valkeakoski in Finland where I spent an exchange semester during my junior year in college. "I never thought that I would actually end up in Finland one day, but here I am having an exchange semester and having the time of my life. At first, Valkeakoski might seem as not that much fun, it is a rather small town with no actual mall and covered in snow for about half of the year. However, the activities that you could engage in are those of a lifetime, and the beauty is that you can do them every day while you are here, and never get tired of them."

As part of the Professional Journalism Shadowing Program at K2.0 in the human rights department, I wrote a Q&A article that tackles the rich culture of Roma minority and elaborates on the discrimination this ethnic minority group faces around Europe. The interviewee is, Evelyne Pommerat, the director of Matéo Maximoff Media Library a library about Gypsy studies in Paris, France. During the interview Evelyne also claims "This was a major form of discrimination, especially considering that it happened in France, which is supposed to be the country of human rights", when talking about legal discrimination of Gypsies in France.

This article was written as part of my Labor Economics class at RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) and elaborates on the lack of implementation of the Labor Law in Kosovo when it comes to women and the reasons why women in Kosovo have such a low participation in the labor force despite the advantage that the law gives to them.
